A Social Agenda for Fashion Policy Studies as Urban Creative Economy
Angela McRobbie’s lecture locates fashion within current attention to urban creative economy. She argues for a stronger social agenda incorporating the idea of fashion social enterprise, and this proposal is based on the extensive studies carried out as part of the AHRC CREATe research programme 2013-2017 which has involved qualitative research interviews, studio visits and observation of fashion start-ups in London, Berlin and Milan.
